Reflective writing (19/11/21)

A huge mistake we made was not creating a concrete storyboard, or at the very least a physical list of all the shots we intended on taking. We realised this when we found that we were actually missing a shot we intended on having at the end of the film. Logistically, we couldn't shoot it on the last day since Caira was wearing different clothes so we ended up having to change the ending slightly. Luckily Ellena could edit the movie to still have the cyclical ending we wanted, but if we did have more time and if I did this again, a storyboard is vital, even if you end up taking extra shots you didn't intend, it's best to have all the base planned out and filmed. Surprisingly I realised I actually enjoyed the editing part of the production, even with little experience in post-production of anything. I'm really interested in how adding sound and the curation of videos and images can have such diverse atmospheres. If we did develop this film or spent more time on it, I'd like to take more care on showing a change between moods and even Caira's appearance since the whole concept was based on transitions.
