Reflective writing (30/11/21)

I'm really excited by model making because it's a physical realisation of an idea I might have in my head and seeing a physical version of my ideas helps me see how a character or viewer might interact with it. Furthermore, having a viewer interact with my work is something I really want to bring forward in my personal work. One thing I think isn't going well is that I'm holding myself back by telling myself these are only prototypes and also using the excuse that I don't have the materials to create what I want, so I need to realise that I'm never going to have all the materials I want and this is all about experimenting and finding ways to recreate materials that I wish I had since that will probably lead me to more methods, which might end up being better. So, to develop my ideas I want to try being less precious about my models and just keep making and experimenting even if some of my ideas break.
